Meet Anzar Fayaz AKA Aik Ramz, Kashmir’s poet dreaming of the Nation’s highest honor
Anzar Fayaz, popularly known by his pen name Aik Ramz, hails from Bijbehara, Anantnag in South Kashmir. A gifted poet and short story writer, he has carved a niche for himself in contemporary literature through his powerful words and creative expression. His writings beautifully blend emotions, culture, and philosophy, earning him wide recognition. Over the years, he has been honored with prestigious awards such as Poet of the Year, Taj-e-Urdu, The Great English Poet Award, and Bharat Aketa Samman, among others. Aik Ramz began his academic journey at Top in Town School Bijbehara, where he studied from class 1st to 8th. He later pursued his 9th and 10th at Oxford School Bijbehara, and is now continuing his education at Boys Higher Secondary School Bijbehara. Alongside his studies, he has passionately nurtured his love for literature, creating a balance between academic excellence and artistic brilliance. With his unwavering dedication to literature and his voice that resonates across languages and cultures, Aik Ramz aspires to reach the highest honor of the nation — the Bharat Ratna — from the hands of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, as a recognition of his contribution to poetry and art. He continues to inspire readers with his thought-provoking poetry and compelling storytelling.
