Maulana Madani praises RSS chief Bhagwat’s outreach, backs dialogue on Gyanvapi, Mathura, Kashi
Islamic Scholar and President of Jamaat Ulema e Hind Mahmood Madani, spoke extensively with ANI. In this exclusive interview Maulana Madini praised Operation Sindoor and emphasised that Pahalgam attack could not divide India, rather it showcased Indian civil society’s unified strength. Madini further went on to talk about RSS’ outreach amongst Muslim communities and shared his views over Mohan Bhagwat’s recent remarks on Gyanvapi and Mathura, Kashi temples. While speaking with ANI, Madini also supported Modi Govt.’s, stand of ‘no engagement with Pakistan’. He added that though there was a global conspiracy to disrupt law and order in India through Pahalgam but the conspiracies got thwarted as the civil societies have been playing an active role to maintain peace and harmony in India. He negated all foreign claims of minorities being cornered in India, saying these are all attempts of foreign powers to destabilise India. While talking about Modi Govt.’s steps on US imposed tariffs, Maulana Mahmood Madani backed the Centre’s decision and supported not putting India’s foot down on this issue. When asked about political and civil scenarios in Assam, Madani maintained that all Bangladeshis should be deported however, saying that the government is trying to divert attention from the main issue. He added that the SC guidelines are not being followed, though eviction is need of hour but procedure should be followed. Criticising the use of inappropriate language in Indian politics, Islamic scholar and President of Jamaat Ulema e Hind Mahmood Madani not only attacked CM Himanta Biswa Sharma but targeted PM Modi too.
