Man reveals why he raised slogans and disrupted Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s event
Praveen Sharma, a senior BJP worker and former district president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha from Sharda district, expressed his frustration and subsequent detainment after not being invited to the stage. As a senior party member with over forty years of association, Sharma felt slighted and, in a moment of anger, raised slogans, though he clarified they were not against the party but rather to express his discontent. He was detained by security personnel, which he deemed inappropriate given his stature. Following the incident, party officials, including local councilors, intervened on his behalf. Sharma later apologized, acknowledging that he should have addressed his grievances privately rather than publicly during the event. He reaffirmed his long-standing commitment to the BJP, highlighting his family’s historical association with the party and his various roles within it.
