Maldives Minister highlights India-Maldives collaboration on energy, climate resilience, training
On the 6th CII International Energy Conference, Maldives Minister of State for Tourism and Environment, Muaviyath Mohamed, said, “India and Maldives being close neighbours always find ways to work together and collaborate. Energy is a critical issue for both countries. As a partner and neighbour, there is a lot in terms of technology and knowledge transfer that we can benefit from in India…We have been in talks with the Indian government on the signing of more agreements for the implementation of some projects…Currently, we are focusing on building resilience against climate change. We are talking to India to provide some training to the manpower in this.”
