Kashmiri Handicrafts get a boost through branding & packing program
Government organizes capacity building program on packing and branding to promote Kashmir art products. Kashmiri handmade products are famous across the world due to its unique art work and that’s why visitors always prefer to purchase these products during peak tourism season. But unfortunately due to the lack of proper branding and packing artisans are not getting proper benefits which they deserve. So to boost the art and craft properly at national and international level the department of handicraft and handlooms organizes a wonderful awareness program regarding the importance of branding and packing which is very important to sellout the product with professional method. During this program expert gave special lectures with PowerPoint presentations regarding proper packing, marking and branding of products. So that customers will get proper satisfaction before purchasing any type of handmade items that are famous across the world. The hand made products of the valley have its own importance due the unique art work done by artisans which results in considering the heritage as well as identity of Kashmir. So to maintain the values of this centuries old rich art department of handicraft and handlooms take the wonderful initiative to start this special drive aimed to educate artisans about the importance and benefits of packing and branding of products. During this program a number of artisans both male and female participated at large scale and they were looking very much satisfied about this awareness program. But they were demanding that for the promotion of art and craft of Kashmir such type of programs should be continued in future so that others will also get benefits in future.
