J&K LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates first of its kind Bailey Bridge on Ramban-Gool road
J&K LG Manoj Sinha e-inaugurated 150-ft triple double storey reinforced, extra wide Bailey Bridge in Ramban. Bailey Bridge constructed over a gorge has load bearing capacity of 24R (Ton) was constructed over a gorge. As per Army sources, the bridge is first of its kind to be constructed in J&K Northern Command area. After inauguration, all the dignitaries of Army officer, prominent local citizens and ambulances passed over the bridge. This road is a part of old alignment of Jammu- Srinagar link road connecting Gool and Sangaldan in Ramban and NH44. According to Col.Srivastava construction of the bridge was strenuous due to the difficult topography and limited space.
