Iran’s FM reveals Araghchi surprising detail of nuclear deal with US; accused Israel for failure
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi disclosed detail of negotiation over nuclear deal with US. ‘We were very close to celebrating a new and historic Iran nuclear deal’, Araghchi posted on ‘X’ handle. He held Israel responsible for not reaching a nuclear deal with US, as negotiations stopped soon after Israel’s attack. He claimed Iran position to be in favour of deal after 5th round of talks with Steve Witkoff on May 23; he wrote. ‘Zero nuclear weapons = we DO have a deal’; but ‘Zero enrichment = we do NOT have a deal’. There was never any “intelligence” that Iraq was hiding ‘Weapon of Mass Destruction’, he reminded POTUS. Similarly, there was no “intelligence” that Iran was “within a month” of developing a nuclear weapon, he added. Iran’s Araghchi accused Israel of deceiving the United States into attacking the Iranian People. “By now, Americans have had enough of fighting Israel’s Forever Wars”, he alerted US against Israel’s narrative. Buildings and machines can be destroyed, but our determination will NEVER be shaken, he said on X. He advocated the path of ‘negotiated outcome’, which would be beneficial to both the sides. On the other hand, Israeli PM Netanyahu warned US of Iran’s intercontinental ballistic missiles. In an interview, he claimed US’ eastern cities like Washington & New York to be under threat of Iran’s missile attack.
