Indian Army’s Romeo Force carries out relief & rescue ops, evacuates families from J&K’s Rajouri
Indian Army’s Romeo Force has been tirelessly working to assist the villagers in Panjnada Village kotranka Sub Division Located in the Mountains of Pirpanjal Range providing essential support to those affected by the recent land subsidence. The Indian Army’s Romeo Force, in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police, swung into action in Panjnada village, located in the Kotranka sub-division of Rajouri district. Due to heavy rainfall, the village experienced land subsidence, sinking resulting in cracks in over 20 houses, which posed significant threat to the residents. More than 20 families, comprising around 90 people, were safely evacuated from the affected area and shifted to Givt Building government-provided shelters. The Indian Army’s Romeo Force organized a free medical camp in Panjnada village, providing essential healthcare services and distributing free medicines to the affected families. The district administration provided necessary facilities to the affected families in the government buildings where they were temporarily relocated. The people of Panjnada village expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army’s Romeo Force for their timely assistance and support during this challenging period.
