Gujarat CM pays tribute to forest martyrs on ‘National Forest Martyrs’ Day’
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel paid tribute to the forest martyrs at the state’s first ‘Forester Memorial’ constructed at the Forest Awareness Centre in Gandhinagar on Sept 11 on the occasion of ‘National Forest Martyrs’ Day’. ‘National Forest Martyrs’ Day’ is observed in honor of the martyrdom of forest guards, foresters, range forest officers, and other frontline forest workers of the forest department who sacrificed their lives while performing duties during the conservation and protection of forests and wildlife.
