Major ‘bookish’ robbery happened at Louvre Museum in Paris on October 19. In a shocking development, Thieves stole jewellery from the famous Louvre. Media reports indicated that the thieves stole pieces of jewellery from the Napoleon collection after breaking into the Apollo Gallery. A German visitor to Paris called robbery at Louvre museum was the kind of thing that “only happens in books”. Thieves used crane to reach an upper floor window of the museum before smashing the glass to enter, French govt informed.
