Cloudburst wreaks havoc in J&K’s Kishtwar, triggers flash floods; search & rescue ops underway
A massive cloudburst hit Chashoti in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar. It triggered a flash flood along the Machail Mata Yatra route. Substantial number of casualties are expected. Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, said SDRF, local police, and the administration rushed to the spot on receiving information. NDRF and Indian Air Force mobilized to carry out search and rescue operations. NC chief Farooq Abdullah spoke on the damages suffered by nearby villages and temple area. Union Minister Jitendra Singh assured all possible assistance and made arrangements for choppers
