Chairman V Narayanan recalls ISRO’s historic contribution behind AXIOM-4 space mission success
At the felicitation event of IAF Group Captain and astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan said, “I thank PM Narendra Modi for announcing Human Space Flight Programme in 2018 and giving us directions to take Indians to space on our own rockets… Under his vision, we have been tasked with sending one of the Gaganyatris to the International Space Station… It is under his vision that this activity was executed by ISRO and after that, Shubhanshu Shukla was sent to space and brought back safely…” He also says, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, after Chandrayaan-3’s successful soft landing on the South Pole of the moon, the entire country was united and it happened again when Shubhanshu Shukla successfully went to space and came back…”
