Amid hostage release, ceasefire ‘hopes’, Bombings rock Gaza despite Trump’s ‘master ‘peace’ plan
Multiple blasts were seen over Gaza from southern Israel on October 9 after Israel and Hamas agreed a day earlier to the first phase of Trump’s plan. Big plumes of smoke were seen rising into the air as aircraft could be heard overhead. Just a day after 2nd anniversary of the attack on Israel by Hamas fighters, indirect talks in Egypt yielded a deal on the initial stage of Trump’s 20-point framework for peace. If fully adopted, the accord would bring the two sides closer than any prior effort to halt the bloodiest Middle East War.
