Amid rising global protectionism and echoes of Trump-era tariffs, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reaffirmed BRICS’ role as a stabilizing force in turbulent times. At the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New York, he called the bloc a “voice of reason” and urged it to champion multilateralism, UN reform and fair trade.
