“A matter of pride for India”, Piyush Goyal lauds PM Modi’s leadership as IMF boosts India forecast
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “It is a matter of pride that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is progressing rapidly and moving forward. The latest estimates from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have recently increased our growth rates for this year. The IMF estimates that India’s growth rate will now reach 6.6 per cent, against the 6.4 per cent estimated earlier. This reflects the way India has strengthened its economy, the atmosphere of confidence in the country today, the increase in consumer spending due to the reduction in GST, and the rapid investment in infrastructure.
