An 80-cm-tall Asian openbill stork was spotted recently at Lashihai Wetland in Lijiang, southwest China’s Yunnan, indicating continuous improvement of the local environment. The species, whose habitats mainly cover South Asia & Southeast Asia, was first recorded in China in 2006.
