Amid China Threat, India-Japan Strengthen Ties As Jaishankar Calls It Key To Indo-Pacific Peace
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed the India–Japan Track 1.5 Dialogue. Jaishankar said the India–Japan partnership today holds “greater value than ever before,” enhancing strategic stability in the Indo-Pacific and contributing to global economic security.
He highlighted key initiatives shaping the decade ahead, from the Next Generation Mobility Partnership and Clean Hydrogen Declaration to cooperation in AI, semiconductors, critical minerals, clean energy and space.
The minister also underscored the 10 trillion yen investment target set during Prime Minister Modi’s August visit to Japan, and called for greater people-to-people exchanges through the Action Plan for Human Resource Cooperation.
