In the northern Peruvian city of Chiclayo, celebrations erupted as Cardinal Robert Prevost, a former local bishop, was elected Pope Leo XIV. Residents are overwhelmed with joy and pride, astonished that a humble religious leader from their neighborhood now leads the Catholic Church.
