Thousands head to northern Gaza: Palestinians return to ruined neighbourhoods
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have begun the long journey back to their lands in the north of Gaza. They’ve been on the move for several hours, since a ceasefire came into effect earlier on Friday. The Israeli military says it has pulled its troops back to the agreed positions under a deal with Hamas. Streams of civilians are travelling by any means possible, carrying whatever belongings they have left.
