Tanzania election protests: Opposition says hundreds killed amid unrest
Political opposition in Tanzania say more than 700 people have been killed in a police crackdown on three days of protests that started during Wednesday’s general elections.

The government hasn’t commented on the reported deaths. The presidential candidates from the two main opposition parties were barred from running in the polls. President Sami Suluhu Hassan, who is seeking to stay in office for another five-year term, has been accused of campaign of repression in the run-up to the polls.

Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb reports.
