Syria wildfires: Civil defence teams battle blazes in Latakia and Hama
A heatwave, strong winds and a prolonged drought are fuelling wildfires in Syria.
The flames have already scorched swathes of farmland in Latakia and Hama, as well as near the border with Turkiye.
Civil defence teams containing the fires is proving difficult – and more dangerous – because of unexploded landmines.
