Qatar condemns Israeli attack on Doha residential buildings, takes case to UN
Qatar has lodged a formal letter with the United Nations Security Council, condemning what it calls a cowardly Israeli assault on residential buildings in Doha. The UN will receive details from the investigation into the attack. Qatar’s Ambassador to the UN Sheikha Alya Al Thani said the criminal attack poses a serious threat to the security and safety of citizens and residents of the State of Qatar. She said Qatar will not tolerate this aggressive Israeli behavior… and will not accept any action targeting its security and sovereignty. Meanwhile, the UN Secretary-General also condemned the attack—just hours after it happened.
