#AlJazeera Maria Corina Machado Wins 2025 Nobel Peace Prize: A Struggle for Democracy in Venezuela

The prize received 338 nominations from individuals and organizations, with Machado selected for her steadfast commitment to peace and democracy, in line with Alfred Nobel’s will.

The announcement also touches on the impact of former US President Donald Trump’s return to power on Middle East politics and his chances of winning the prize.
