Mali attempted coup: Military government foils alleged overthrow plot
Mali’s military government says it’s foiled an attempted coup.
Dozens of soldiers have been arrested in connection with the alleged plot, including two army generals, as well as a French citizen accused of being a spy.
Authorities say the attempted takeover began on August 1st, but the situation is now under control.
