Kuki-Zo ethnic group constructs road amid tensions with Meiteis in India | 101 East #shorts
The violent civil war in India’s Manipur state has left homes, buildings and infrastructure in ruins.
To ensure they can travel between districts and reach local hospitals and the airport, the Kuki-Zo people have built a road across rough terrain.
101 East correspondent Mandakini Gahlot meets a Kuki-Zo volunteer who explains why he chose to take up arms and join the fight.
