Jimmy Lai’s national security trial enters final arguments in high-stakes Hong Kong case
A Hong Kong court will continue hearing final arguments on Tuesday in the high-profile trial of media mogul Jimmy Lai, who faces up to life in prison if convicted.
Lai was charged in December 2020 with conspiring to collude with foreign forces under Beijing’s controversial national security law, and a separate charge of conspiracy to publish seditious material.
Journalist Laura Westbrook was in court on Monday, as the trial resumed.
