Germany’s Lieferando mass layoffs raise fears of worse pay and conditions for delivery workers
In Germany, hundreds of employees of the food delivery company Lieferando believe it wants to fire and then rehire them through a subcontractor on worse pay and conditions.
Lieferando has confirmed lay off plans, but says its working conditions are among the best in the German marketplace.
Where it uses subcontractors, it says it obliges them to comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
