The global leaders Climate Summit is underway in the Brazilian city of Belem, known as the gateway to the Amazon.
It comes just after the United Nations announced the world has failed to hit a key target, limiting global heating by 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The two-day gathering is taking place ahead of next week’s COP30 conference.
The leaders of China, the US and India are all skipping the event.
