Cameroon’s Paul Biya seeks to extend 43-year rule amid youth discontent
The world’s oldest head of state, 92-year-old Paul Biya is seeking to extend his 43-year rule when voters cast their ballots in Cameroon’s elections on Sunday.President Biya is promising to bolster security, improve infrastructure, and curb youth unemployment. With more than half the population aged under 30, it’s those younger voters he’ll have to win over.
