Belgium government debates recognition of Palestinian state ahead of UN General Assembly
The Belgian government is meeting to discuss its position on whether to formally recognise Palestinian statehood.
The cabinet is trying to make a decision before the UN General Assembly in New York in September.
France, Canada, the UK, Australia and Malta have already said they will recognise a Palestinian state by then.
