Afghan women’s rights: UN says Taliban restrictions create rights crisis
Since returning to power more than four years ago in Afghanistan, the Taliban government has been gradually restricting the working rights of women. They are permitted to hold jobs in only a few sectors of the economy, in what the UN is describing as the world’s worst women’s rights crisis.
