Al Jazeera English Western support enables Israel’s apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes: Mustafa Barghouti

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mustafa Barghouti, secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, condemned what he called a global system that rewards Israel and punishes its Palestinian victims.
He stated that Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza has expanded into a campaign of terror and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank with total impunity.
Barghouti argued that Western nations, by resuming arms supplies, are complicit and are actively destroying the post-war international legal order.
He cited the US punishment of international courts as a key example of this erosion.
Despite the catastrophic death toll, he finds hope in Palestinian resilience and massive global public solidarity. His conclusion was a stark warning that Israel has transformed into a fascist system, led by settlers, which is dangerous for everyone, including Israelis themselves.
