Four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are returning home as amputees and rebuilding their lives at rehabilitation centres.
As the government explores peace negotiations that could involve territorial concessions, many veterans say giving up land would dishonour the enormous sacrifices made on the front lines.
At the Tytanovi rehabilitation centre in Kyiv, wounded soldiers are learning to walk again and grappling with both physical loss and the uncertainty of Ukraine’s future.
