Sirens, panic across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait as Iranian strikes continue

Air raid sirens sounded through the night in the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait, while Saudi Arabia says it intercepted more than 20 drones over its eastern region.

In Kuwait, falling debris damaged parts of the power grid, causing partial outages and highlighting how dangerous these interceptions have become in cities across the GCC.

Amazon says its operations in Bahrain have been affected by drone activity.

In the UAE, authorities even issued a social media alert telling residents that thunder from bad weather may be mistaken for explosions or interceptions — a sign of just how on edge people are, as these scenes become all too familiar across the region.

Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from Dubai.
