Al Jazeera English Netanyahu meets Trump in Florida amid talks on Gaza, Iran and regional tensions

US President Donald Trump met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago, following Netanyahu’s talks with senior US officials.
Trump said Hamas disarmament would be discussed and voiced a preference for peace through deals rather than wider wars.
He avoided firm comment on strikes in Ukraine and reports targeting President Vladimir Putin, citing limited information.
Trump stressed strong ties with Netanyahu and described him as a wartime leader guiding Israel through dangerous times.
Iran was a key focus, with Trump favouring negotiations to curb nuclear and missile threats over regime change.
Gaza’s reconstruction and hostage releases were highlighted, with Trump crediting his team for progress.
Netanyahu has said the second phase is close – but warned several key issues still needed to be resolved.
The meeting reflected Trump’s broad foreign policy agenda, spanning Israel, Iran, Ukraine, Syria and regional stability.
