Al Jazeera English Myanmar’s disputed election enters final phase as rebels see little hope for change

The third and final phase of Myanmar’s disputed general election is underway.
The election is taking place during a civil war and is the first since the 2021 military coup.
People in areas outside military control are not allowed to vote.

Al Jazeera’s Tony Cheng spoke to some of the fighters who’ve taken up arms against military rule to ask if they’re likely to stop fighting after the vote.
