Al Jazeera English Myanmar artist crackdown: Junta cracks down on dissent ahead of elections

Myanmar’s military junta has arrested a number of actors, directors, and other celebrities in the past week. They are charged with undermining public faith ahead of next month’s elections. Others are reported to have been detained and made to record statements of support for the vote.
