Al Jazeera English Epstein files: UK ex-envoy to US Mandelson released on bail after arrest on suspicion of misconduct

Former UK ambassador to the United States Peter Mandelson has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and released on bail.
The arrest follows the release of Jeffrey Epstein files that allegedly show Mandelson shared confidential government information with the late sex offender, including memos on the British economy and EU bailout prospects.
The scandal has also engulfed the King’s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who faces similar charges and allegations of sexual abuse linked to his friendship with Epstein.
