Al Jazeera English Ending Palestinian suffering requires dismantling the apartheid system: Miko Peled
Miko Peled, an Israeli activist and author, dismissed the Gaza ceasefire and Trump plan as a “farce” that legitimises Israeli actions.
He argued Palestinians are no closer to basic rights, citing continued violence, mass arrests and severe humanitarian restrictions.
Peled said any talk of demilitarisation must focus on Israel, which he described as the destabilising force in the region.
He called for unrestricted humanitarian aid to Gaza and an end to Israel controlling access to it.
Peled urged severe international sanctions and a global arms embargo against Israel.
He said focusing only on Gaza ignores the wider occupation across Palestine.
Peled advocated dismantling what he described as an apartheid system to end Palestinian suffering.
