Al Jazeera English Afghanistan’s winter: Millions face worsened humanitarian crisis

Harsh winter conditions in Afghanistan are worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis.
The United Nations estimates that 17 million people are facing acute hunger.
UN agencies warn that humanitarian aid is reaching only a fraction of those in need,
particularly among the country’s millions of recently returned refugees, deepening the crisis as winter sets in.
