President Donald Trump welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House to discuss plans to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Just one day prior, Trump spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin for over two hours. Trump, who said he likes “stopping people from getting killed,” noted that negotiations “are coming along pretty well.” Zelenskyy, meanwhile, congratulated Trump over landing last week’s ceasefire and hostage deal in Gaza and said Trump now has “momentum” to stop the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “President Trump now has a big chance to finish this war,” Zelenskyy said.
