A city’s kindness: Passers-by halt traffic to help elderly man in distress
At the intersection of Huizhou Avenue and Wuhu Road in Hefei, east China’s Anhui Province, an elderly man fell backward, hitting the ground hard. A woman on an electric bicycle immediately stopped and rushed over to check on him. Seconds later, a second woman parked her bike to offer support. Together with a third passer-by, they crouched beside the old man, shielding him from traffic until police arrived.
