The UK has signed a massive £8 billion deal to supply 20 Eurofighter Typhoon jets to Turkey, making it Britain’s biggest fighter export in nearly 20 years. The Typhoon, built by the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain, is a twin-engine multirole jet that can hit speeds over Mach 2 and carry up to nine tonnes of weapons. This deal will support thousands of British jobs while giving Turkey a major boost in air power and NATO strength. With advanced radar, sensor fusion, and agility, the Typhoon remains Europe’s answer to modern air combat. The first jets are expected by 2030.
