The CAQM has ordered a major ban on commercial goods vehicles to curb air pollution in Delhi. Starting November 1, 2025, all diesel vehicles below the BS-V standard will be completely denied entry. This decision, following a Supreme Court order, removes the difficult-to-enforce exemption for essential goods. The move aims to reduce border traffic jams and control heavy vehicle emissions, ensuring better air quality for Delhi residents. BS-VI and clean-energy vehicles are exempt.
