Chinese envoy: How ignorant to say UNGA Resolution 2758 has nothing to do with Taiwan #CGTN

The UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 clearly affirms Taiwan as part of China, and the one-China principle brooks no challenge, said multiple UN representatives on Monday at a meeting commemorating the 80th anniversary of Taiwan’s Restoration to China and the authority of the historic resolution.

On October 25, 1971, at the 26th session of the UN General Assembly, Resolution 2758 was adopted with an overwhelming majority, which “decides to restore all its rights to the People’s Republic of China and to recognize the representatives of its Government as the only legitimate representatives of China to the United Nations, and to expel forthwith the representatives of Chiang Kai-shek from the place where they unlawfully occupy at the United Nations and in all the organizations related to it.”

“The process of issuing the resolution itself fully demonstrates that the one-China principle symbolizes international righteousness and the will of the people, and fully reflects the unstoppable adherence of the international community to the one-China principle,” said Fu Cong, China’s permanent representative to the UN.
