‘Melissa’ generates flooding and damages properties #CaribbeanBroadcastingCorporation

Reports last night indicated three people were killed while making preparations in Hanover, St. Elizabeth, and St. Catherine.

Another 13 people were also reportedly injured.

We get an update from TVJ on how things have been shaping up in the west-central parish of Manchester.

Meanwhile, Director of the Jamaica Meteorological Services, Evan Thompson, says when Melissa makes landfall later today, it is expected to remain a Category Five hurricane and will create catastrophic damage.

He was speaking during a live update earlier on the Jamaica Information Service.
