Scam crackdown: Myanmar military bombs notorious KK Park compound
A series of explosions near the Thai-Myanmar border have been heard since Friday (Oct 24) when Myanmar military troops started bombing buildings tied to scam operations in KK Park, according to local media.
The complex, which lies across the Moei river from Thai border town Mae Sot, is a notorious hub known for cybercrime and human trafficking. Around 1,000 people are known to have fled the scam compound, escaping into Thailand.
