Trump-Xi Meeting: US President & Top Aide Give Sneak Peek On What To Expect; ‘We Feel Good…’
Aboard Air Force One, U.S. President Donald Trump struck an optimistic tone on upcoming trade talks with Brazil and China, but delivered a sharp rebuke to Canada, accusing it of “ripping the U.S. off for a long time.”
Trump revealed that he held a “very good meeting” with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on trade tariffs during the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, adding that “they’d like to do a deal.” He also took aim at a controversial ad from Ontario’s government that used a decades-old Ronald Reagan quote, calling it “fake” and saying it was taken down only after pressure from Washington.
