BIG: Shreyas Iyer suffers spleen injury during Sydney ODI, under medical supervision confirms BCCI
Amid growing speculation, the BCCI shared an update on Shreyas Iyer’s recovery post injury on October 27. The Indian cricket board confirmed that the batsman has sustained a laceration injury to his spleen and remains under close medical evaluation. BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia shared the major update on BCCI’s official website. Shreyas Iyer had sustained an impact injury to his left lower rib cage region while fielding during 3rd ODI against Australia on 25th October . The BCCI Medical Team, in consultation with specialists in Sydney and India, is closely monitoring his condition. The Indian Team Doctor will remain in Sydney with Iyer to assess his daily recovery progress.
