भारत में अवैध रूप से रह रहे 89 बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ) ने शनिवार को ‘पुशबैक’ कर बांग्लादेश बॉर्डर गार्ड (बीजीबी) के हवाले कर दिया. सूत्रों के मुताबिक, ये सभी लोग लंबे समय से भारत में बिना वैध कागजात के रह रहे थे. पकड़े जाने के बाद इनके खिलाफ कानूनी प्रक्रिया चलायी गयी थी, जिसकी निष्पत्ति होने के बाद इन्हें औपचारिक तौर पर बीजीबी को सौंपा गया. सूत्रों के अनुसार, कुल 89 नागरिकों को तीन अलग-अलग सीमावर्ती इलाकों से वापस भेजा गया. कुस्तिया में काथुली सीमा से 30 लोगों को, काजीपुर सीमा से 30 लोगों को और चुआडांगा के मुजीबनगर सीमा से 29 लोगों को बीजीबी को सौंपा गया. सभी को ‘फ्लैग मीटिंग’ के बाद पहचान संबंधी दस्तावेजों के साथ वापस किया गया.

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday “pushed back” 89 Bangladeshi nationals who were illegally residing in India and handed them over to the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB). According to sources, all of them had been living in India for a long time without valid documents. After their apprehension, legal proceedings were initiated against them, and following the completion of these proceedings, they were formally handed over to the BGB. Sources said that a total of 89 citizens were sent back from three different border areas. Thirty people were handed over to the BGB at the Kathuli border in Kushtia, 30 at the Kazipur border, and 29 at the Mujibnagar border in Chuadanga. All of them were returned with their identification documents after a flag meeting.
